The first woman to land ind Louisiana's garden, 2019
Silicone, AcrylicOne, d: 68 cm

The work originates as a response to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art's acquisition of Alicja Kwade's sculptures Pars pro toto in 2018. The first acquisition of a female artist for the permanent sculpture park. A work that on the one hand celebrates and on the other hand wants to acknowledge the gender gap in the art market.

SPACE (lightsabers and sunsets), 2022
Iso-tape, concrete, mirror, video

Space is based on a personal encounter with grief.
The exhibition is a spatial installation consisting of three interconnected works: Two sculptural elements and a video. Together they reflect on the relation between love and grief over time. The work explores how materials can be used to commemorate an emotion and reflects on the power of light.

Bits and pieces, 2021
Marble, plaster, 1:1

An exploration of techniques and materials. Lifecasting is the process of creating a three-dimensional replica of the human body. Where stone carving and modelling is an imitation of this. Rodin was often questioned about the honesty of his skills, as the public could not distinguish between lifecasting and modelling.

NOISSUE, 2020
3D build online exhibition space

Two earlier works are installed in a virtual exhibition space.
The first woman to land in Louisiana's garden is crashed through the wall, while Revealing the essence in a portrait  is looped as a counterpart on the opposite wall. The exhibition space provides unlimited opportunities to explore ideas that may be difficult to implement in reality due to financial and spatial constraints.

Revealing the essence in a portrait, 2020
Shot on 16mm and digital, 2:08 min

An intimate study of the female body, filmed on 16mm. Throughout art history, the female body has been depicted as a passive figure and object. The work portrays the female body as an independent active organism that cannot be defined in terms of an outdated normative notion.

REAL, 2019
Cut-out animation, 22sec

REAL breaks with the heteronormative view of sexual interaction. It states that sex among LGBTQIA+ people is just as real. The work is based on word descriptions from the online Cambridge Dictionary, which by linguistic definition excludes anyone who does not identify as cisgender heterosexual from having real sex.
